What kind of game is VAMPIR?
A large-scale MMORPG with a dark gothic horror setting, made by the Netmarble Neo developers behind Lineage 2: Revolution and Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds. You play on phone or PC with the same account. Netmarble's own pitch in the September 23 intro video is that it breaks the usual Korean MMORPG formula: no bright fields and elves, and "blood, horror, and sexuality" put front and center.

Is there a healer in VAMPIR?
No. Netmarble says it dropped the tank-DPS-healer trinity and removed the healer role entirely, so every class is built around dealing damage. You don't wait for a healer to fill a party, and no class is stuck in a support seat.
Survival comes from Drain, the vampire's bite. Every character absorbs life from dying enemies to restore HP and can chain that into buffs. Netmarble sums it up as "attacking is the best survival strategy": the harder you push, the longer you last. Arena is the one exception we know of, where any class can take a Protector or Guardian role for a match (see the Arena guide).

How does sunlight work in VAMPIR?
Sunlight is a vampire's weakness here too, but it's not just a penalty. The video says you can activate a Blood Gate to get past it or turn into a bat to cross the map. Blood Gates also work as fast-travel points; the details are in How to fast travel in VAMPIR.
What is VAMPIR's story about?
Not a chosen-hero plot. You follow a vampire who was killed by the Ecclesiac and came back, and the story is about revenge. The main cast and bloodlines are covered in our characters guide.
Is VAMPIR popular?
In Asia, yes. Netmarble's August announcement says it topped the grossing charts on Google Play and the App Store in Korea and was the longest-running No. 1 among new 2025 games there. The intro video adds 200,000 concurrent players in Korea, and 14 new servers plus 120,000 concurrent players after the Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau and Japan launches.
