In VAMPIR the main story is the unlock key: side quests open as you progress it, Artifacts open after Episode 1 main quest 101, and Support Mode opens after Episode 2's "Memory of Light". So a new character pushes main quests first, picks up side quests as they appear for EXP and encyclopedia entries, and does the capped daily quests every day. The level-gated systems come later and in a fixed order.
Quest types
| Type | What it gives | Rule |
|---|---|---|
| Main quests | The story, plus rewards tied to it | Unlocks side quests and several systems |
| Side quests | EXP, character encyclopedia entries, episode completion bonuses | Open with main-quest progress |
| Daily quests | EXP, gold and other rewards | Daily cap; several can be accepted at once |
The quest panel sits in area 7 of the main screen next to target info and the combat log, and the world map has an auto-move button for the quest you track. Side quests are where the NPC backstories live; if you care about the lore, do not skip them just because the EXP looks small.

What unlocks when
| System | Unlock | Why it matters early |
|---|---|---|
| Artifacts | After Episode 1 main quest 101 | Enhancement stones start dropping; set the auto-enhance target |
| Support Mode | After Episode 2 "Memory of Light" | Queue activities and auto-maintenance (with Olga's Grace) |
| Familiars | Level 40 | Ground and floating pets; exploration for idle rewards |
| Naricanje Valley (normal) | Level 46 | 50 solo stages, no EXP loss on death |
| Absolute Discipline | Level 60 | Engraving books from the shop or Eternal Coin merchants |
| Followers | Level 64 | Sacred blood buffs for damage, defense or EXP/gold |
| Skill Cards | Level 75 | Cards that enhance learned skills |
| Epic dungeons | Party content | Three free entries a week, shared across all Epic dungeons |
The table is a route, not a race. Each of those systems has its own guide on this site; the point here is that you do not need to think about Skill Cards at level 30, and you should not sit on Epic entries either, because the three free ones reset weekly whether you use them or not.
A first-week routine
- Push the main story until Support Mode opens, then set it up: activity order, stop on death, weight limit.
- Accept every side quest that appears and clear them in batches on the way; they pay EXP and encyclopedia entries.
- Do the daily quests to the cap every day. They are the steady EXP and gold line.
- Use the three free Epic entries each week, even in a random group; the boss timer decides the loot, not the group name.
- From level 40, add familiars and their exploration; from 46, Naricanje Valley for solo progress with no EXP penalty.
