Every piece of VAMPIR gear has a safe enhancement limit. Up to that limit, failure changes nothing. Above it, an attempt can end in destruction, and destroyed gear cannot be recovered. That single rule decides how you use the three scroll types, why the quick-enhance button stops where it does, and why Netmarble's published rates fall from about 90% at low stages to 15% at the top.

The cursed scroll is not a joke item: it is the tool for bringing a piece back down on purpose, and the rate page lists it at 100% across all stages. Single and multiple enhancement (several pieces of the same type to a target level) use identical rates.

Safe limit and quick enhance
- Read the item's safe enhancement limit; it differs by equipment type.
- Use quick enhance to run straight to the safe limit without watching each attempt.
- Above the limit, enhance one attempt at a time and open the rate for the current stage first.
- Tick the collection and dark-trade checkboxes to see whether the item is wanted elsewhere before you risk it.
