Bloodstained is VAMPIR's sword-and-defense melee class: Netmarble's Korean guide gives its keywords as "sword, melee, defense", and it is the only one of the five with a defense keyword. The official global site calls it "a vampire knight who dominates the battlefield with a sword forged in blood." Pick it for long farm sessions, for standing at the front, or as the safe first class when you are undecided.
How Netmarble introduces Bloodstained
The official global class page sums it up in one line: "A vampire knight who dominates the battlefield with a sword forged in blood." The longer description reads: "The Bloodstained are vampires who enjoy the most sadistic combat. They tear their own flesh to spill red blood and forge crimson blood swords before leaping into battle. With their swords imbued with endless greed for blood, they turn everything on the battlefield into their prey." It is lore, not numbers: nothing in it is a skill value.
The same channel posted a 15-second short version of the Bloodstained introduction on September 13, 2026; same content, shorter cut.

Bloodstained weapon and keywords (Korean guide)
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Weapon | Blood-forged sword |
| Keywords | Sword, melee, defense |
| One-line role | Knight ruling the battlefield through endless blood hunger |
The Korean guide gives each of the five classes one weapon and three keywords, and no skill list or numbers. For Bloodstained those three words are enough to place the class; read the actual skill text on the skill screen in your own client.

Who should play Bloodstained?
| You want | What Bloodstained offers |
|---|---|
| Long farm sessions with little babysitting | The only class among the five with the "defense" keyword |
| A safe start if undecided | Defense tends to cut deaths while you learn the game |
| Standing at the front in melee | Sword and defense; the site calls it the knight who dominates the battlefield |
| Hitting from range | Not this class: melee |
This mapping is a reading of the official text, not measured damage, survival or ranking data. Before you commit, run the 30-minute test from our class-choice guide.
What to watch in your first 30 minutes with Bloodstained
- Finish the tutorial and open the skill screen: check whether the skills that come with the blood-forged sword match the keywords "sword, melee, defense".
- At the same farm spot play five minutes on auto and five minutes manually; note which mode loses less HP.
- Play until you die once and write down why: something that closed the distance, or damage from range? The answer tells you whether this class fits you.
- Watch the bloodsucking icon and the adrenaline gauge; those two mechanics change every fight regardless of class.
Picked wrong? Class change
According to the Korean class change guide the change is done in town only; one form, up to three weapons and every skill you own can be converted, and extra cost can apply depending on what you select. Deciding before forms and weapons pile up keeps that bill small.
